Queen Street West is well known for an area in which there are a lot of desinger's brand shops. It seems like Harajuku in Tokyo, but honestly speaking, I can find the scale of it is much smaller than that of Harajuku. Nevertheless, Queen Street West must be one of the areas you can't miss when you are in Toronto.

Queen Street Westはトロントで最もセレクトショップが多く集まっているエリアとして知られている。東京で言えば、原宿と言ったところであろう。ただ、その規模は原宿と比べてしまうと、比にならない程小さいことは否めないが、少なくともトロントにおいては外せないエリアのひとつであることは間違いない。

You can see various artists selling their works like paintings and photos on the sidewalk every weekend. Especially, the man who are drawing something like unique buildings with a peculiar touch in a monochrome painting every weekend is the most impressive for me.

週末になると、歩道には様々なアーティストが集まり、自分の絵や写真等を販売している姿を見つけることができる。中でも、毎週同じ場所で墨絵のようなモノで独特なタッチでビル群を描き続けている彼の姿が特に印象深い。

I often see tourits from foreign counrties taking their pictures with this painted wood. It is absolutely interesting that they paint even trees in downtown.

様々な観光客がこの木と一緒に記念撮影をしている光景をよく見かける。街中にある木にさえペイントしてしまうノリが何とも面白い。
